Four Years Experience Reflection In Mogadishu University

Image
A dam Osman Mohamed. First of all, thanks to Allah who allowed me to reach in 2021 with peace, health, security and finished everything as normally. The first months of every New Year I make written plans and goals those I categorized short term and long term plans and I accelerate and quickly hurry how these dreams to be true. To my parents, faculty and staff, university administrator, and fellow graduating students, good afternoon! I gather in this space and time for a very special moment, a special moment that each and every student long to experience and that is the graduation day. It is indeed another end and beginning of pursuing my education, right? As what Solomon Ortiz said, “Education is the key to success.” Others referred to it as a passport or bridge that will lead us to a brighter future. It is a very important aspect that eliminates ignorance and empowers us with the right and sufficient knowledge. I’m Adan Osman Mohamed. I was born in baledweyn hiran Somalia. I grad

Daawashada fikradaha khaldan: U-dabaaldegidda ciidda caruurta Soomaaliyeed Dhamaadka bisha barakeysan ee Ramadan.

Hordhac: Ciidul-fidriga ayaa ah tii ugu horeysay ee Muslimiinta ay xusaan. Munaasabadan oo ah mid aad u qiimo badan ayaa waxaa lagu soo asteeyey dhamaadka bisha barakeysan ee Ramadaan. Waxay ku beegan tahay markii Muslimiinta dhammaan qaybaha kala duwan ee bulshooyinka ku nool adduunka ay qalbigoodu mahadnaq iyo salaan u diraan   ehelkooda, qaraabadooda iyo deriskooda. waxay hadiyado u diraan asxaabtooda iyo qoysaskooda aadka ugu qaaliga ah si ay ugu muujiyaan jacaylka iyo naxariista ay u haayaan midbba midka kale.   Malinta bari ah waxaa la filayaa in dunida muslimka oo dhan looga dabbaal dego munaasabadda Ciiddul-Fidriga, iyadoo markasta oo munaasabadda ciidda la gaarana ay carruurta si wayn uga dhexmuuqdaan damaashaadda ciidda. Gayiga Soomaaliyeed waxaa maalmaha ciidda lagu arkaa carruur koox koox ah oo ku dheelaya qalabka dagaalka sida bastooladaha caagga ah iyo qoryaha kuwaas oo haddba dhinac isku eryanayo. Waagii hore, carruurta yaryar waxay siin jireen lacag caddaan ah

A Reflection Internship at Somali Public Agenda: A Life-Changing Journey of Learning and Growth

Image
I am glad to have completed a two-month internship (and three online courses) with Somali Public Agenda (SPA). In September 2021, I contacted the SPA Director and asked him if they could offer me an internship opportunity in the future. While he welcomed my request and appreciated my interest,  he told me that several candidates were waiting for the opportunity. He informed me that the first opportunity would be open for me in April 2022. He asked me if I could wait until then. I said ‘yes’. After three months, in January, I began working as an English language teacher at one of Mogadishu’s schools. In late March 2022, I received a call from SPA as the start of my internship drew near. The fantastic news that I could begin the internship shortly was communicated to me by the SPA HR Officer Farhia Mohamud. Fortunately, I had the opportunity to take a break from school and most of my coursework was almost finished. This allowed me to take the two months’ internship at SPA. The first da

When the application was open back on…., one of my friends who was a student in the next economy second batch at that time mentioned to me the program and,, shared with me the application form. He urged me to apply and take this opportunity by becoming a member of the 3 rd batch of students.   After a few days, the fact that my application was accepted seemed like a miracle to me. I received an email that changed my life a lot and when I look back now, it was a joyous moment that I have become one of the students who passed the interview. It is a great pleasure to become selected from among more than 800 people. In February was the beginning of life change, we started the core life skills course, the class was very interesting, every week we were learning a lot of things that changed our lives a lot. I'm glad to have completed the six-month training course, earned certificate achievement and employability skills from the next economy and SOS. First, I would like to thank All

A Reflection: My Education Journey

Image
I’m Aden Osman Mohamed. I was born in Beledweyne, Hiran region. When I was four years old, my family moved to a small agricultural village called Booco which is 50km south of Beledweyne. I started my Quranic madrasa there. The Quran madrassa teacher was called Muhumed.  After I finished the Quran I joined formal school with basic education, and in the evening I used to study religious education. Our family had a large farm and few goats. After years in Booco village, I returned to Beledweyne and pursued my education. In 2012, I joined Beledweyne Primary and Secondary School and I started from grade 8 th . This was another journey. Ustad Ahmed, an English teacher, was the first teacher in our class that day. Unfortunately, I was informed that he died four years ago. May Allah grant him the highest rank of Jannah. During my Secondary and Primary education, I studied two years of extensive English language course from Universal Institute for Foreign Languages in Beledweyne. We used to
