A Reflection: My Education Journey

I’m Aden Osman Mohamed. I was born in Beledweyne, Hiran region. When I was four years old, my family moved to a small agricultural village called Booco which is 50km south of Beledweyne. I started my Quranic madrasa there. The Quran madrassa teacher was called Muhumed.  After I finished the Quran I joined formal school with basic education, and in the evening I used to study religious education. Our family had a large farm and few goats.

After years in Booco village, I returned to Beledweyne and pursued my education. In 2012, I joined Beledweyne Primary and Secondary School and I started from grade 8th. This was another journey. Ustad Ahmed, an English teacher, was the first teacher in our class that day. Unfortunately, I was informed that he died four years ago. May Allah grant him the highest rank of Jannah.

During my Secondary and Primary education, I studied two years of extensive English language course from Universal Institute for Foreign Languages in Beledweyne. We used to

Make English conversation practice every afternoon inside of the school compound. I got my diploma certificate after two years of learning.

I also joined (HIMAS) Hiran Institute of Management, Accounting, and Secretarial Skills for Computer Science study. I learned computer hardware and software skills.

In 2015, I became an English teacher at TUSMO primary school, a basic education private school in our village. In 2017 I finished high school.

After I finished secondary education I managed to travel to Mogadishu for University and to pursue higher education. I joined Mogadishu University on 28 July 2017 in the faculty of Political science and Public Administration Department of Public Administration.

When I finished  the second year of  English language diploma in June 2018, it allows me to be recruited as an English teacher at Al-Ahli primary and secondary school. Now I am a graduate student. I live in Mogadishu and I hope to pursue my education.
